Living as I do many miles from the nearest fishing shop I have not used them for years, they used be six (old) pence a pint I recall.

£2.40 a pint here in Alfreton and being tight, up here we still think that's expensive !
My biggest worry is that my wife ( when I'm dead ) will try to sell my fishing tackle for what I said I paid for it.

Not in Barnsley is isnt..... wouldnt find many here that would suffer paying over £3 a pint for ale or maggots

It is ridiculously expensive darn sarf....for everything...couldn't afford to retire here even though I'm born and bred Kentish.....the result of the city boys moving in.....
